We are seeking a skilled Controls/Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automation, particularly with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and a strong understanding of eWON remote connectivity solutions. The Controls/Electrical Engineer will be responsible for designing, programming, and maintaining automated control systems to optimize production processes and ensure system reliability.


About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:



  • Automation System Design: Develop and implement electrical control systems for automated machinery and production lines, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards.
  • PLC Programming: Write, test, and troubleshoot PLC programs for new and existing systems using various platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider Electric).
  • eWON Configuration: Configure and manage eWON devices for secure remote access, monitoring, and control of industrial systems.
  • System Integration: Integrate various automation components, including sensors, drives, and Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), into cohesive control systems.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including electrical schematics, system layouts, and user manuals.
  • Project Management: Lead and participate in project planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose and resolve issues with automation systems, including emergency troubleshooting and long-term preventative maintenance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of control systems into the manufacturing process.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement innovative solutions to enhance system efficiency and reliability.


Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.



Experience: 3+ years of experience in controls engineering, with a focus on automation and PLC programming. Experience with eWON devices is highly desirable.



Technical Skills:



  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., Ladder Logic, Structured Text).
  • Experience with eWON remote connectivity solutions.
  • Knowledge of industrial networking and communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, OPC).
  • Familiarity with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).



Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.



Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.



Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., PLC Programming, eWON Specialist) are a plus.
