Consumer Credit Review Senior ManagerThe Consumer Credit Review Senior Manager is responsible for executing independent, risk-based assurance reviews within Capital One’s Consumer credit portfolios (card and auto). This includes assessment of credit strategies and practices, effectiveness of policy implementation and risk governance. The Senior Manager will also contribute towards the execution of the annual Credit Review operating plan by leading reviews of credit processes or products, performing monitoring of credit trends and credit changes in the assigned portfolios and in horizontal reviews. Through planned reviews and continuous monitoring activities the Senior Manager will be exposed to a great level of depth and breadth of full spectrum lending activities (acquisition, customer management, etc) managed by the first and second-line. They will provide effective challenge to Accountable Executives in a constructive manner to drive positive changes and business impact. Further, this associate will be responsible for building and maintaining working relationships with line of business management and key associates within the risk management organization.General Responsibilities:Conducting risk-based reviews covering consumer line(s) of businessesIdentifying credit process weaknessesIdentifying emerging trends and issuesPerform independent data analysis to support or identify gaps in credit policiesTracking of identified issues to resolutionCommunicating Credit Review assurance results with exceptional verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating strong clear thinking and succinct delivery of messageReporting results and issues verbally and in writing to executive management and internal credit and risk senior executivesWorking with regulators and external auditors to provide assurance that Credit Review processes are soundBuilding and maintaining high trust relationships with credit risk executives, associates, and regulatorsActing as an approachable advisor to business partners by developing continuous and effective communication channels for all stakeholdersShowing ability to provide business leadership and partnering skills to help drive the organization towards critical decisions and deliverable resultsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree or military experienceAt least 7 years of professional business and data analysis experienceAt least 3 years of experience in consumer lending (credit card and auto loans) credit risk policy, risk analytics or strategy developmentAt least 3 years of experience influencing senior level executives or regulatorsPreferred Qualifications:Master’s DegreeConsumer credit training from a large national or regional bank or equivalent training in a regulatory office (Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), Federal Reserve)Credit risk modeling, audit or assurance experienceAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting.
