Role:

  • Oversee breeding programs and develop long-term R&D strategies
  • Plan and execute market plans with all departments
  • Ensure ethical standards in research projects
  • Evaluate research progress and compile consumer research data
  • Serve as scientific liaison with regulatory bodies and quality assurance groups
  • Coordinate activities of breeders and other researchers
  • Establish relationships with universities and research labs
  • Develop and manage R&D department budget
  • Review funding proposals from researchers
  • Manage R&D staff and mentor team in systems design and development
  • Liaise with sales and marketing for new product strategies
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory guidelines


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in vegetable breeding
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret various instructions
  • Team player with a can-do attitude and excellent organizational skills
