Manager, FinanceThe Manager, Finance, is a key member of the Global Wealth and Asset Management FP&A team and has matrixed accountability into the CFO Finance team. You will be accountable for providing accurate, timely, and relevant monthly, quarterly and annual financial data production, reporting, analysis, planning and forecasting to different stakeholders of the Global Wealth and Asset Management & General Account (GWAM & GA) Finance Financial Planning & Analysis.Position Responsibilities:Consolidates, analyzes, and synthesizes large amounts of financial and non-financial information from various collaboratorsPrepares high-quality monthly and quarterly reports, dashboards, and presentations for Global WAM & GA Finance collaborators, and develops narratives for financial decks, forecasts, and annual planningFacilitates and manages the annual 5-year strategic planning process, monthly forecasting, and financial reporting processes, delivering timely and accurate resultsCoordinates with WAM support teams to identify trends, manage risks, and support key business decisionsResponds to ad hoc financial inquiries and produces profitability analysis for miscellaneous income opportunities and initiativesParticipates in team cross-training, trains new team members, conducts quality checks on the team's work, and proactively seeks business insight improvementRequired Qualifications:University degree in Accounting, Actuarial, Finance or equivalentStrong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)Strong ability to interpret financial statements, develop projections, and provide valuable analysisGood communication and presentation skills; capable of engaging with business partners and team membersProficient in technical accounting skills, understanding financial reporting structures, and using Accounting System tools (SmartView-Essbase, Lawson)Attention to detail, process streamlining, and thriving in a fast-paced, high-performing, collaborative environmentProactive in continuous improvement, identifying complex issues, recommending solutions, and influencing across a matrixed organizationPreferred Qualifications:Professional designation (CPA/CFA/MBA) is preferredAt least 6 years of experience in a finance role, Wealth and Asset Management industry experience an assetExperience in participating or spearheading in automating processes is a plusPower BI, Anaplan, and Alteryx/other automation tool knowledge is a plus but not requiredWhen you join our team:We'll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.We'll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.As part of our global team, we'll support you in shaping the future you want to see.Manulife es un empleador que ofrece igualdad de oportunidadesManulife Financial Corporation is an important international provider of financial services that helps people make decisions in an easier way and live better.
