Facilities Engineering position is open in Saline Michigan for an experienced automotive Engineering Technician to work with the Facilities, Maintenance and Engineering teams to coordinate facilities improvements. The candidate will ideally have 10+ years practical experience working in an automotive plant maintaining layouts, drawings and organizing plant improvement projects working in and around automation. Must follow all Heath, Safety and Environmental rules and conduct themselves in a safe manner at all times.


  • Associates degree in Mechanical and or electrical design 10+ years’ experience.
  • Automotive plant experience working in and around automation.
  • Excellent AutoCAD skills with ability to update plant layouts and create detailed drawings. 3D experience is a plus.
  • Familiar with Automotive standards, plant layouts, mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Experience taking ideas and turning them into SOWs, designs, layouts, BOMs, etc…
  • Experience managing implementation of plant/facilities improvement projects including managing vendors and contractors.
  • Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook) required.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with discipline to complete what is promised on time.
  • Must be self-starter and able to problem solve and identify issues and solutions.
