Medical AssistantWe are hiring for either one full-time position or two part-time positions, please apply to the posting with the desired hours. Salary Range: $22.50 - $23.85 per hour. Salary Note: Bilingual Candidates are eligible for an additional $1.50 Bilingual Differential. This Bilingual Differential is not included in the salary range above.Position Summary: This position works with a medical team and/or an outreach worker to provide street-based medical care to people experiencing homelessness. This generally includes assisting with assessing the patient, documentation, and administering treatment. Medical Assistants will also provide phlebotomy in a clinic setting as well as in an outreach setting. This position will assist the Nurse Practitioner by providing scribe services, processing orders, and maintaining patient care records using an Electronic Health Record.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:Provides appropriate medical services and medical support services, including information, lab coordination, phlebotomy, pharmacy coordination, vitals, and coordination with both psychiatric and medical providersCommunicates information to internal & external partners using the referral processAssists Nurse Practitioner in scribing, documentation, and follow upDocuments patient information, condition, and treatmentMaintains patient confidentiality and performs all care with respect for patient rightsMaintains a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients (including inventory)Operates and drives agency vehicles in conjunction with applicable safety policies & lawsProvides basic medical care and gathers patient dataParticipates in required training and meetingsAssists supervisor/manager with all necessary reportsAbility to work well with others, handle stress appropriately, have reliable attendanceOther tasks as assigned, including training/cross-training other staff as needed
