Payroll SpecialistWe are looking for a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our team in Bronx, New York. In this contract to permanent position, you will play a key role in managing payroll operations and ensuring compliance with organizational policies. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with a strong background in payroll systems and a keen eye for detail.Responsibilities:Process payroll efficiently and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy.Maintain and update employee records, handling approximately 40 files per month.Utilize EV6 and organizational systems to manage payroll-related data with precision.Facilitate wage increases, union dues, and reporting requirements as needed.Collaborate closely with the HR team during the initial months, transitioning to independent responsibilities thereafter.Act as a liaison between the Payroll department and other stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve issues effectively.Support compliance with payroll regulations and organizational policies.Ensure timely completion of onboarding requirements such as clearance checks and training.Requirements:Proven expertise in full-cycle payroll processes, including multi-state payroll.Experience working with payroll systems such as EV6 and ADP Workforce Now.Strong attention to detail and ability to manage payroll for over 500 employees.Familiarity with organizational compliance and reporting requirements.Excellent collaboration skills to work within a team-oriented HR environment.Ability to adapt and transition to independent ownership of payroll tasks.Successful completion of background checks and training programs.Knowledge of payroll regulations and best practices.
