- Being late is a foreign concept to you.
- You are comfortable committing to a consistent weekly schedule.
- You have some previous coding experience or you are eager to learn.
- You are a lifelong learner and are insatiably curious.
About the role:
- We are looking for after school teachers for our coding programs in Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx.
- You will need to be available on 1+ days to teach a 1 or 1.5 hour class that will start between the hours of 2:30-4pm and end between the hours of 4pm-6pm, depending on the location.
-You may have the opportunity to teach additional classes outside of this window, including in-school opportunities and private lessons on an ad-hoc basis.
- This role does not require coding expertise. We provide high-quality training to help you build your coding skills and to teach using our Socratic-based teaching style. This will help you become a better coder and educator for all future careers.
- We love our teachers You have access to a community of fellow educators who are passionate about changing the educational system.
- We require a one-semester commitment (September 9-February 1), at a minimum. Priority will be given to candidates who can commit through mid-June.
