Straub is home to the Pacific Region's only multidisciplinary burn treatment center. Our services at the Kaneohe Family Health Center include: diagnosis and treatment of illness and injury for infants, children, adolescents and adults; periodic physical examinations for children and adults; complete obstetrics/gynecology and family planning services; lab testing and on-site X-ray; dietary and health education counseling and mammography. As a medical assistant in our internal medicine department, you will join the dedicated team of physicians and medical staff that provide our recognized compassionate health services to patients and their families. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of patient care activities at Straub Kaneohe. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and attentive, with strong communications and patient care skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.Location: Straub Medical Center, Honolulu, HIWork Schedule: Day - 8 HoursWork Type: Full Time Regular FTE: 1.000000 Bargaining Unit: ILWUExempt: NoMinimum Qualifications: High school or equivalent. Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), American Medical Certification Association (AMCA), or American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card.Preferred Qualifications: Six (6) months medical assistant experience. Knowledge of Classification Procedural Terminology (CPT) and/or International Classification of Disease (ICD-10) Coding.
