Manager, Financial Analysis (Bank Tech Finance)Capital One is seeking a culture-led, results-driven, and strategic Manager of Bank Technology Finance. This is an exciting time for Capital One, as we are looking to expand our business aggressively in the partner credit card segment, not only through organic growth in existing programs, but also through acquisitions of new card partners.The role will be the work lead for a team of vertical financial analysts supporting the financials of Retail, Commercial, and Small Business Bank Technology portfolios. This position will have significant exposure to internal business partners teams to help drive partner-specific financial insights.This position will serve as the work lead providing oversight for the actuals and outlook, presenting monthly financial analysis to internal leadership, and managing quarterly or annual strategic exercises related to the business.Key responsibilities include:Develop a deep understanding of the components of the Technology P&L to help drive insights and analytics on the financial performance of the businessAccurately analyze & explain key drivers and monthly variances, suggest actions to the business, and manage the regular reporting process for multiple segmentsGenerate ongoing analytical insights into overall financial performanceDevelop and deliver senior management presentationsPartner with internal leaders to provide strategic finance and finance perspective on business initiativesCreate well-managed sustainable processes and continuously challenge what's possibleIndependently manage, prioritize, and delegate tasksThe ideal candidate will provide strong financial leadership. The role requires problem solving, strategic thinking, and influencing skills in order to effectively:Articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insightsAble to critically evaluate option sets and present recommendationsEffective under both open-ended and tight timelinesPartner with leadership and business teams to assess the financial implications of ongoing efforts to grow the organizationDevelop presentations to communicate business and analysis results to senior leadership audiencesComfortable working in blank canvas and the ability to get work done through othersGeneral responsibilities:Financial analysis & reporting: Accurately analyze & explain balance sheet and income statement implications of decisions and suggest actions to the businessExecutive business presentations: Assist in development of presentations to communicate analysis results to senior audiences; clearly articulate outcomes of analysis to leadership teamsAd-hoc requests and special projectsIndependently manage, prioritize, and delegate tasksCoordinate across Capital One's corporate Global Finance teams in support of business decisionsPerform ad-hoc financial analysis to investigate and assess any industry related topics and strategic options.Basic qualifications:Bachelor's Degree or military experienceAt least 4 years' of experience in financial analysisAt least 4 years' experience with financial modelingAt least 1 year of experience managing a Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) functionPreferred qualifications:Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Master's Degree in Finance5+ years of financial planning and analysis experienceAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.McLean, VA: $146,100 - $166,700 for Manager, Financial AnalysisNew York, NY: $159,400 - $181,900 for Manager, Financial AnalysisRichmond, VA: $132,800 - $151,600 for Manager, Financial AnalysisCandidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
