We owe our success to the quality of our employees, our strong commitment to safety, and our superior service to customers.Key Business ObjectivesThe Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing maintenance services on USA Compression's fleet of natural gas compression equipment. All USA Compression employees are responsible for maintaining a safe and professional work environment.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerform Maintenance tasks as outlined in the company's Maintenance ManualTravel is required and is expected to be approximately 50% of the time workedFollow and observe all safety and environmental policiesMay engage in project work for company and for customerEnsure parts and other resources are in place prior to scheduled project dateMaintain high level of attention to detailAccurately input data into FSA immediately following taskPromptly return unused parts and coresMaintain company vehicle according to company guidelinesAssist in repair of unplanned major failuresMay be asked to assist during after-hours call out, as neededAny other duties or responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.Skills/Capabilities and EducationPreferred qualifications include technical or trade school certifications, or a background in mechanics.Must have strong verbal and written communication skills at the field level to both customers and employees.Capable of driving commercial size truck and a valid driver's license with a Motor Vehicle Record history acceptable to USA Compression.Operate independently with little or no supervision.High degree of mechanical abilityRead and understand technical manualsWorking knowledge of Excel, Word, Internet and inventory tracking software.Ability to understand written and verbal communication from the company and supervisor including training, procedures, instructions, etc.Applicant must have the ability to legally work in the U.S.Working ConditionsPeriodic lifting requirements in excess of 50 lbs. Ability to stand and walk on uneven and varied terrain, climb ladders and stairs, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch and crawl depending on the task requirementsExposure to extremes in temperature and weather conditions depending upon assigned locationExposure to high noise levels (in excess of 85dBA), as well as exposure to potentially hazardous chemicals and materialsThe position requires ability to read and interpret data as well as having the capacity to professionally and effectively communicate (verbally and written) with both company and outside personnel.Employee will be a member of a team that is geographically dispersed.Working conditions in natural gas compression vary from one job site to another. Some job sites are indoors in compressor stations while other sites are outside, exposed to a variety of weather conditions. The work environment may be in hazardous locations.
