About the Job

The Quality Control Technician will be based out of our Chatsworth, CA location. This is an entry-level position at a globally leading LED display manufacturer. The candidate will be responsible for testing electronic and mechanical components as well as the physical appearance of LED display panels post-repair.


The Quality Control Technician will work directly with our Quality Control department as well as our repair, tech, and warehouse teams. This is a meticulous role, which requires extreme attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving. Prospective candidates will work as part of a team to deliver the highest quality of products to clients and partners.


Responsibilities

Reporting to the in-house Quality Control Supervisor, the Quality Control Technician provides the following contributions to the team:


  • Checks for physical and cosmetic damage on LED modules after they have been repaired
  • Tests for faulty SMD LEDs on LED panels
  • Replaces plastic masks on the face of LED panels
  • Scans out repaired modules, compiling a list of modules that pass inspection in Excel
  • Builds and dismantles LED video screens
  • Regularly lifts 20-30lbs of equipment
  • Uses computer software to operate LED video screens
  • Assists with project builds and tear downs at on-site and off-site locations on occasion


Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you have the following skills and qualifications under your belt:

  • 1-2 years in a quality control role or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of video-related products and subsequent terminology
  • Knowledge and experience supporting Windows operating systems
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs


Preferred Skills

  • Quality control background
  • Experience and understanding of LED displays
  • Experience with ROE LED products and processing systems
  • Live event production industry experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish/Chinese)
  • The hourly rate range for this position is $20-27/hr USD. The base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
