This individual is responsible for managing multiple retail construction and improvement projects from concept to project closeout. As an Owner Representative, this position has cost, schedule and quality control responsibilities that must be met. Position requires accountability to "on budget" project delivery, detailed schedule management, document administration, forecasting & risk analysis, and management of multiple internal and professional service providers.What You'll Do | Key AccountabilitiesPrepare state, federal and Canadian tax adjustment calculations with supportCreate construction project estimates from feasibility plans and site evaluationCoordinate, plan, and manage schedules for contractors and subcontractorsDevelop construction project with internal partners, architect, engineers, and trade workersCoordination with construction procurement to order and manage owner provided materials and equipmentProvide internal reporting and projections for timely budget and schedule forecastingOversee and supervise construction project and provide reports on timeline, construction progress, and potential concernsProvide timely insight and solutions into potential cost, schedule or scope impactsEnsure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are metEnsure that projects are completed and closed out on time and within budgetSkills & ExperienceBachelor's degree in construction management, construction science, engineering, architecture, or related field from an accredited university or 10 years of construction project management for retail projects.Three years' experience as a construction manager or in a similar position in construction management. Experience with managing multiple project roll-outs at one time is preferred.Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time and schedules efficiently.Able to manage multiple associated professionals and internal business partners across multiple projects simultaneously.Possesses a high level of experience with the following: retail tenant improvements; multiple project management; construction administration; detailing bid scope; project schedule management; project closeout.Demonstrates a strong technical understanding of construction drawings, construction specifications, and required construction documentation.Experienced at compiling and following strict budgets.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Possesses excellent problem solving ability with realistic and cost effective solutions.Goal-oriented and organized leadership.In-depth understanding of the construction industry.Self-motivated and self-directed.Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power Point). Experience with Project Management software and AutoCAD as well, is preferred.Organized and able to create and maintain multiple timelines, budgets, and schedules.Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations.Able to build solid relationships with team members, vendors, and customers.Work Environment, Physical & Mental DemandsAbility to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach on a daily basis.Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally.Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment.Hours regularly 40 hours per week.COVID-19 Vaccine PolicyTailored Brands requires all Corporate & Shared Services employees either (a) establish that they have been fully vaccinated; or (b) obtain an approved reasonable accommodation exempting them from this requirement due to a medical reason, or because of a sincerely held religious belief or practice, as a condition of employment.
