LEAD CNA

Primary Purpose:

The Lead CNA serves as the main liason between the Unit Manager/Nurse Supervisor and the CNAs. Main duties include training new CNAs, monitoring CNA assignments, and rallying the team to provide quality service.

Shifts available: 3-11 and 11-7

Specific functions:

Assist residents with their personal care needs

Ensure CNAs are able to complete their assignments

Coach the team members in providing quality service that is aligned with the values of the company

Ensure a pleasant environment for residents and their family members

Provide orientation and review of clinical skills to help develop competencies of CNA peers

Assist the Nursing Supervisor/Unit Manager in orienting and training new CNAs

Assist in providing reeducation for CNAs that are unable to meet the standard of care of the company

Participate in the CNA hiring process and other administrative tasks as needed

Provide input to Nursing department heads for the improvement of resident care
