Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role in Buckhead, Atlanta for a Director & Sales Specialist. As a Director / Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing most aspects of the gallery's operations, including managing staff members, coordinating events and programs, and developing relationships with artists, collectors, and other stakeholders in the art community.

Key responsibilities of an art gallery director include:

1. Curating exhibitions with the owners: Selecting and arranging artwork for gallery exhibitions, considering factors such as artistic merit, thematic coherence, and market appeal.
2. Managing staff: Supervising gallery employees, art handlers, and administrative staff.
3. Marketing and promotion: Developing marketing strategies to promote the gallery's exhibitions and events, including advertising, social media, booklets and public relations efforts.
4. Building relationships: Cultivating relationships with collectors
5. Overseeing operations: Managing day-to-day operations of the gallery, including installation and deinstallation of exhibitions, gallery maintenance, visitor services, shipping and inventory management.
6. Planning events and programs: Organizing openings, artist talks, panel discussions, workshops, and other events to engage with the public and promote the gallery's exhibitions.
