Our staff have the knowledge to care for many types of pediatric diagnoses which include, but are not limited to, oncology, hematology, endocrinology, neurology, general surgery, ortho, trauma, neuro, ENT surgeries, respiratory, adolescent medicine (disordered eating), gastroenterology, and more. Our healthcare team includes registered nurses, nursing assistants, clinical assistants, nurse practitioners, resident physicians, hospitalists, child life specialists, social workers, dieticians, physical & occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, chaplains, and others who are trained to provide compassionate and high-quality care for our pediatric patients. It is a major academic and referral center with Level I adult and Level II pediatric trauma designations. The advanced capabilities and clinical expertise within this center have earned Magnet designation four consecutive times and has the distinct honor of housing Michigan's first Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence.Scope of work: Coordinates aspects of patient care by managing communication and clerical tasks essential to the functioning of the unit. In addition to communication and clerical tasks, she/he monitors and stocks supplies. Provides patient care and related functions as delegated by and under the direction of a registered nurse.Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Completion of nursing assistant program and/or one year of nursing assistant experience preferred. Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
