Key Responsibilities:
Instruction and Curriculum Delivery:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities in [Language 1] and [Language 2] that facilitate active learning.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state and district standards and cater to diverse learning needs.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to support language acquisition and content understanding.

- Adjust instructional methods and materials based on student needs and assessment data.

Language Development:

- Engage in regular team meetings and contribute to curriculum development and instructional planning.
Communication and Engagement:
- Maintain open lines of communication with students, parents, and guardians regarding academic progress and school activities.
- Facilitate and participate in parent-teacher conferences and other school events to build strong school-home connections.
- Address parent and guardian inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, Bilingual Education, or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Illinois, with endorsements or qualifications for dual language instruction preferred.
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish, with strong oral and written communication skills in both languages.
- Experience teaching in a dual language program or a multicultural educational setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of effective bilingual education strategies and best practices.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to engage with students in various classroom settings, including sitting on the floor, moving around the classroom, and using instructional materials.
- Occasional lifting of materials and equipment.
