This individual will have robust experience in demand planning, 3PL warehouse management, and international freight forwarding to join our dedicated team.


Position Overview:


The Logistics Demand Planner Manager will oversee the end-to-end logistics operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective movement of goods. This role is critical in managing demand planning, 3PL warehouse operations, and freight forwarding processes, specifically from Asia. The successful candidate will be responsible for forecasting and working in the D2C capacity with major retailers such as Target, Amazon, and Walmart to optimize supply chain performance.


Key Responsibilities:


Demand Planning and Forecasting

  • Own, develop and strategize all demand planning strategies to meet business objectives as well as comprehensive forecasting models to support supply chain planning, specifically within NetSuite
  • Analyze sales trends, market conditions, and customer data to forecast demand accurately as well as historical data and market trends to predict future inventory needs.
  • Utilize advanced forecasting tools and software to improve forecast accuracy and reliability.

3PL Warehouse Management:

  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers to ensure optimal performance.
  • Oversee 3PL warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and returns processing.
  • Implement and monitor KPIs for warehouse efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop and enforce SOPs to maintain high standards of warehouse operations.

Purchase Order Placement and Freight Forwarding

  • Oversee end-to-end purchase order process
  • Manage all inbound and outbound forecasting of orders and management as well as freight coordination
  • Implement automated purchase order systems to streamline procurement processes and reduce manual intervention
  • Coordinate with and managing international freight forwarders from Asia.
  • Track shipments and resolve any issues related to delays, damages, or discrepancies.
  • Managing custom / duty / tariff payments, etc.

Retailer Collaboration:

  • Manage logistics and supply chain activities related to major retailers such as Target, Amazon, and Walmart.
  • Ensure compliance with retailer requirements for shipping, packaging, and delivery.
  • Optimize order processing and delivery schedules to meet retailer SLAs.
  • Build strong relationships with retailer logistics teams to facilitate smooth operations.

Management and Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage two key individuals in the 3PL and logistics department to ensure success of all operations, and cohesion across the team.
  • Lead by example; this individual should be prepared to have a hands on approach and work alongside subordinates to demonstrate ideal process and procedures having the attitude of "no task too big, no task too small"

Automation and Continuous Improvement

  • Identify automation opportunities within demand planning and logistics processes, and lead implementation of said processes across the team
  • Create automation across processes of inventory, order management, as well as data and sales trend analysis
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions within the logistics function.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in logistics and supply chain management.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5-7 of experience in logistics, with a strong focus on demand planning, 3PL warehouse management, and freight forwarding from Asia.
  • Netsuite: experience within our ERP system Netsuite is required
  • Retail Experience: Proven experience working with major retailers such as Target, Amazon, and Walmart.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in demand planning and forecasting tools/software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel; experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite are a huge plus
  • Certifications: Professional certifications in supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP) are highly desirable.
