Under the general direction of the Plant Engineer the Controls Electrician is responsible for the integration, programming, and troubleshooting of Programable Logic Controllers (PLC), Process Automation Controllers (PAC), Human Machine Interfaces (HMI), Servo Systems, Robotics, and Industrial Networks for systems to support productivity and/or quality improvements for process and packaging equipment.
Responsibilities Ensure accuracy and completeness of associated technical documentation and support technician training and development processes.
Lead or provide support of focus improvement projects.
Troubleshooting of various PLC and networking systems.
Provide training & support to EETs, maintenance, and operating technicians.
Complete preventative maintenance on electrical, control, and networking systems.
Create and maintain technical documentation of supported systems.
Provide support for new equipment installations.
High School Diploma or GED
Technician training as electrician, electronics, or controls technology
5 years of relatable work experience in manufacturing
Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair PC related issues down to the component level to include touch screen displays, hard drives, CD ROM drives and NIC cards.
Ability to repair and / or replace components and subsequently load, configure, and parameterize both hardware and software as it may relate to industrial, process control PCs and their related applications.
Demonstrated ability to work in small cross functional groups, deliver effective communication, meet deadlines, and lead quality/process improvement teams.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills,

Demonstrated quality/process improvement capabilities
Knowledge of and ability to maintain technical documentation and drawings
