Responsibilities and Duties: Maintain, Repair, troubleshoot dies and operate the CNC Machines in the Tool Room.
Required Skills:
Must be able to operate and set up Surface grinders. Must be able analyze, troubleshoot, and repair dies. Must have the ability to read blueprints. Assists in general upkeep and 5S of the toolroom and its equipment. Follows all safety rules and guidelines and keeps working areas clean and orderly. Ability to perform different tooling setups as needed in a timely manner. Ability to write and modify CNC programs. Ability to maintain machines. Ability to drive a forklift and load the die splitter. Ability to reverse engineer tooling. Must be able to follow instructions on completing parts without prints. Ability to read micrometers, calipers, and indicators. Ability to machine and hold tolerances within .0005 inch. Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, AND REQUIREMENTS:
High School degree or GED is required. Tool grinding and close tolerance work experience preferred. Must be capable of reading and interpreting blueprints, using precision measuring instruments as well as good math skills. A Journeyman Machinist or Journeyman Tool and Die maker preferred.
Must have at least 5 years of tool and die experience.
