The role also involves ensuring accurate shipment data and cost information for data-driven decision-making and peak demand planning.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operations Management: Oversee small parcel transportation activities, serve as the main contact for internal partners, and manage transportation suppliers and systems. Coordinate carrier volume forecasts and schedules during peak times and maintain accountability through supplier relationship management.
  • Analytics Development: Enhance transportation analytics for decision support, implement industry-standard metrics and dashboards using tools like Tableau, Alteryx, and Power BI, and drive system efficiencies. Conduct recurring analysis and develop reporting to improve transparency and decision-making.
  • Cost Management: Communicate with freight audit companies, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support internal projects. Manage lost merchandise and theft issues with carrier security.
  • Reporting and Communication: Prepare presentations and report summaries to articulate findings to executives, translate analysis into business insights, and review recommendations with leadership to drive change.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Business Management, Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management/Research, Accounting/Finance, Statistics, or equivalent experience. PMP or PMI certification preferred. Certifications in Alteryx, Tableau, or Power BI preferred.
  • Experience: 3+ years in complex analytical and predictive data modeling. Transportation/Logistics experience preferred.
  • Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and business intelligence tools (Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce). Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional relationship-building skills. Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and present complex analysis clearly.
