Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and driven Project Engineer to join our team on some of the most complex and high-profile infrastructure projects in the country. In this role, you will play a critical part in the planning, execution, and completion of large-scale construction projects, ensuring that all engineering aspects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, design, and execution of construction projects, ensuring compliance with engineering principles, standards, and regulations.
- Work closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to coordinate project activities, schedules, and resources.
- Prepare, review, and manage project documentation, including engineering reports, drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to project plans, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project milestones are met.
- Support the procurement process by preparing and reviewing material requisitions, submittals, and change orders.
- Assist in managing project budgets, cost control measures, and risk management strategies.
- Contribute to project meetings, providing technical insights and progress updates to the project team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and industry regulations.
- Proficiency in construction management software and engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Primavera, or similar).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse project teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.
- EIT (Engineer-in-Training) certification or PE (Professional Engineer) license is a plus.
