This is a senior level position that requires extensive experience in understanding processes, operations, and material handling equipment needed within a client's four walls of a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing facility. The Director is a position that leads the Design Team assigned to a project consisting of associates in Consulting, Data Analysis, and Design Engineering. This individual will organize the team to analyze client data, create process flows (current and future), develop operational standards, design material handling systems based on the data, price designed systems, write proposals / request for proposals, create presentations, and present solutions to clients.This is more than just a consulting leadership role, it's an opportunity to be a thought leader and change-maker at a pivotal time in enVista's journey. We're committed to growing top talentand giving them the tools to thrive.If you're ready to step into a high-impact role with a company that's growing, innovating, and leading the market, this is your moment.Apply today and be part of enVista's next chapter.What you will do:Act as the primary communicator of the project to the client and lead the client to the next engagement as a result of Design Team's workManage and mentor members of the Design teamLead the development of process flow charts in Visio or other softwareLead the team in the development of AutoCAD renderings of a new design layoutMaintain project schedules and costs along with analysis of client dataCommunicate software capabilities/differences of WMS, WES, WCSDesign material handling systems solutions in "green", "brown", and "existing" facilitiesSupply budget & firm pricing for designed systems while maintaining and updating the budget pricing toolDevelop financial models that justify the selected equipment (Payback and ROI)Vendor support & coordinationBe the "expert" in client presentationsTravel to client sites to understand current systems and make recommendations for changesStay up to date with and understand new technologies as they come into the marketplaceWhat you will bring:Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or related fields strongly preferred10-12 years of experience and knowledge of distribution operations across different distribution channels and industries (i.e. e-commerce, wholesale, retail, drop-ship)Minimum 7-10 years of proven experience managing multiple complex DC optimization projectsStrong written and verbal communicationAbility to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques in a highly complex environment using leading-edge technologyProven experience optimizing operations based on best practices and client's operational profiles (automation, systems, process, people, etc.)Strong ability to cultivate relationships with varying level of a client's team (executive level, engineering, operations, IT, etc.)Proven experience in presenting strategies and technical information in a manner that establishes rapport, persuades others, and establishes understanding for technical and non-technical audiencesStrong analytic abilities required to turn mass data into project insights, with the ability to justify recommended solutions including financial analysis (ROI, ARR, etc.)Skills in AutoCAD and/or SQL are a bonusSkilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)20%-30% travel requiredEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
