Accommodation is available upon request for candidates taking part in the selection process.Job DescriptionAXIS is seeking an E&S Property Claims Associate to join our North America Claims team to support the expansion of AXIS' presence in the E&S Property market in North America. As a direct report to the Team Leader of North America Property Claims, the successful candidate will be responsible for the quality, accuracy, and performance of commercial property claims; works under supervision to develop skills in investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling insurance claims. This role provides hands-on experience in assessing property damage, determining liability, and ensuring fair settlements for policyholders.This role will also be responsible for delivering the AXIS North America Claims value proposition engaging with stakeholders, brokers, and insureds to ensure constant communication and service engagement distinguishes AXIS claims every day.This role will lead and develop a team of claims professionals to provide best-in-class service and are responsible for:Handle E&S Property Claims for a wide variety of AXIS policyholders written in various jurisdictions and reporting to the Claims ManagerEnsures understanding and administration of claim policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with company and policy standardsTriaging of first notification of loss, efficiently utilizing an established network of service providersSet accurate claim reserves and make referrals to senior members of the team where necessaryReview policy wordings to validate coverage for claims and escalate any issues arisingPrepare coverage positions to be reviewed and approved by Claim ManagerWork closely with Independent Adjusters, external legal advisors and brokers ensuring a premier claims service to clients is maintained, escalating issues as appropriateDevelop a working knowledge of the legal frameworks and claims handling practices relevant to the jurisdictions in which the claims ariseMonitor and investigate assigned claims and develop a resolution strategyMaintain satisfactory levels of productivity / claims handling cycle timeContinue job skill development through trainingResponsible for Cycle time, Severity, Quality of claims, Customer Satisfaction level, Professional development of selfAdditional responsibilities for this role include validation of indemnity and fee payments, ensuring these are processed accurately and promptly, including monitoring and processing of claims bordereaux and ISO searches and reportingAxis Culture and Values everyday demonstrate the Axis behaviors that support and align with AXIS values: People, Decisiveness, Excellence and Stronger TogetherKey Skills & Abilities:Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of equivalent claims handling/underwriting experience in lieu of degreeClaims adjuster license highly preferredExperience or exposure to handling commercial Property claims on behalf of a syndicate, insurance company, broker, loss adjuster or solicitor preferredExcellent multi-tasking and time management skills are requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills, to liaise with numerous customers, both internal and externalIntermediate to advanced experience with Excel, Word and PowerPoint preferableExperience with OneNote and Office Products including Outlook highly desiredAbility to successfully work in hybrid and self-directed work environment
