Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Location: Whitakers, North CarolinaJob OverviewWe are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support a high-volume manufacturing assembly environment. This role focuses on process optimization, standard work development, manpower planning, and equipment uptime improvement using lean manufacturing and structured problem-solving methodologies.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct time and motion studies to develop standardized work processes and standard dataEstimate manpower requirements and support capacity planning activitiesAnalyze equipment uptime and downtime data using Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 7-Step, and 5 Whys methodologiesDrive improvements to increase machine uptime and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)Create, modify, and optimize plant layouts and process flows to improve efficiencyCollaborate with OEMs to resolve open issues and support PPAP approvalsProvide engineering support for material flow documentation, manufacturing standards, and proceduresDevelop and maintain standard documentation, work instructions, and revision drawingsSupport manufacturing process planning and standardized production proceduresConduct detailed design reviews and support tooling approvalsWork closely with plant stakeholders to implement shop-floor process and layout improvementsProvide training and ensure integration of process assessments and best practicesRequired Skills & QualificationsStrong background in manufacturing engineering and process improvementHands-on experience with process engineering in an assembly or production environmentBachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
