Position: Senior Business Analyst (Life Insurance & Annuity)
Location: Cranbury, NJ, Hybrid
Duration: Contract
Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze business requirements related to LDTI compliance for life and annuity products.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including actuarial, accounting, IT, and regulatory teams, to understand data needs and compliance requirements.
- Conduct data analysis to identify relevant data sources, data elements, and data quality considerations for LDTI reporting.
- Design and document data models, data flows, and data mappings to support LDTI compliance within the data warehouse solution.
- Work closely with IT teams to ensure alignment between business requirements and technical implementation.
- Define and document business rules, calculations, and assumptions for LDTI reporting within the data warehouse environment.
- Develop test plans and perform testing to validate data accuracy, completeness, and integrity for LDTI compliance.
- Provide support and guidance during the implementation phase, including user acceptance testing and production rollout.
- Assist with training and knowledge transfer to ensure business users understand data warehouse capabilities and LDTI compliance requirements.
- Stay informed about regulatory updates and industry best practices related to LDTI compliance and data warehousing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 9 years of experience as a business analyst, with a focus on data warehousing, regulatory compliance, and financial reporting within the insurance industry.
- Strong understanding of life and annuity products, including actuarial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., LDTI, GAAP, STAT).
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, including SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Experience with data modeling concepts and techniques, including dimensional modeling and data normalization.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Prior experience with Agile or other iterative development methodologies preferred.
- Knowledge of insurance industry software applications (e.g., policy administration systems, actuarial modeling software) is a plus.
