Monday-Friday, 8am-5:00pm at East Baltimore Medical Center (1000 East Eager St., Baltimore, MD 21202) Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Retirement Savings Plan w/employer contribution Paid Time off & Paid holidays Employee and Dependent Tuition assistance benefits Refer a friend to Johns Hopkins, opportunity to earn $$$ Health & Wellness programs and more As a Bilingual Medical Office Assistant, you'll: Provide excellent customer service to our patients at our East Baltimore Medical Center Adult Medicine in partnership with Baltimore Medical System another local health system, that provides much-needed healthcare services to the community. Receive incoming and make outbound telephone calls to schedule appointments, process patient medication refills, process referrals, and take messages for the providers. Check patients in and out. Verify insurance and collect demographics. What You'll Need to be Successful: High School Diploma or GED required. 2+ years experience in healthcare or customer service preferred. EPIC experience is very helpful Bilingual in Spanish & English required Ability to successfully pass all required training to obtain security access to perform role. Includes, but not limited to: Electronic medical record training, Insurance training-foundations, government and commercial. About us: Salary Range: Minimum 16.86 per hour - Maximum 27.84 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
