Job Summary: We are looking for a reliable Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team in Kansas City, Missouri. In this fast-paced role, you will be instrumental in managing the flow of goods into and out of our facility, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all shipments. Your responsibilities will include receiving incoming materials, verifying quantities and quality, stocking inventory, preparing outgoing shipments, and loading/unloading trucks. This position is a critical component of our logistics network, demanding a strong focus on detail, efficiency, and adherence to all safety standards. You will work closely with carriers, warehouse staff, and management to ensure smooth operations. A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area is essential, as is the proper use of PPE . This role involves significant physical activity, including frequent lifting and moving of packages, standing, walking, and operating warehouse equipment. The ideal candidate is a motivated team player with excellent communication skills and a dedication to accuracy. Join us and be a key player in our operationsResponsibilities: Receive and inspect all incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies. Accurately record received goods into the inventory system. Stock received items in designated warehouse locations. Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, and labeling. Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely. Verify shipping documentation against outgoing orders. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE . Collaborate with carriers and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups. Support the overall efficiency of the logistics department. Qualifications: Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. Understanding of warehouse procedures and basic logistics . Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Good communication and teamwork abilities. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
