The director is responsible for the creation, management, and enhancement of high-quality learning materials to support our employees' development and the organization’s strategic goals. The Creative Content Director must develop a comprehensive new hire and annual training experience to build competent and confident staff.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for learning content that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Develop new hire training experience that builds competent and confident staff.
- Oversee the creation of engaging, effective, and innovative learning materials, including e-learning modules, videos, job aides, and other multimedia content.
- Ensure all learning content meets the high standards of quality, relevance, and accessibility.
- Follow instructional design processes by analyzing data from assessment tools, focus groups and operations feedback to plan, develop, customize, and implement appropriate materials, instructional, and delivery mechanisms to achieve maximum Learning & Development results with the assigned program of focus.
- Lead a team of instructional designers, content creators, and videographers to produce effective learning solutions.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify learning needs and design content that addresses the needs.
- Implement and manage a content review process to ensure continuous improvement and updating of learning materials.
- Develops and maintains continual education support materials and job aides (Tell Me How’s) to use for reference once training has been completed.
- Work with subject matter experts (SME) to ensure content accuracy and relevance, continuously updating and refining training materials to ensure they reflect the latest organizational goals, industry trends, and best practices.
- Leverage data and feedback to measure the effectiveness of learning content and make informed decisions for future content development.
- Stay current with trends and best practices in learning and development and incorporate new technologies and methodologies as appropriate.
- Proposes training and development programs and objectives including Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other platforms to enhance the learning experience.
- Manage the learning content budget and resources efficiently.
- Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the content development team.
- Drive training content that engages staff across the organization through orientation and annual training which delivers an exceptional learning experience.
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree preferred in Instructional design, Education, Organizational Development, or related field.
- Certification in instructional design or related fields is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Learning Content Director, Creative Director, or similar leadership role in learning and development content management.
- Understanding of adult learning principles, leadership competencies, and instructional design methodologies.
- Proficient using Adobe Articulate or other e-learning authoring and development tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and multimedia content creation tools.
- Experience managing an LMS system.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A background in supporting regulatory content is preferred.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing the English language.
