Well established, highly successful cardiology practice has an immediate opening for a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in Yuma, Arizona.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly successful practice supporting a physician in providing cardiovascular care to the Yuma area.
Under the supervising physician provide efficient, cost-effective, quality outpatient care in accordance with established rules and regulations defining the nurse practitioner/physician assistant scope of practice. Functions as an extension of the physician in diagnosing and treating patient conditions by performing tasks or a combination of tasks traditionally performed by the physician.
- Healthcare employer seeking to hire a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant. Interested candidates must possess some post-training experience. Must have a minimum of two years of experience as a licensed Nurse Practitioner/Physician’s Assistant in direct patient care. Experience in cardiology, preferred, but not required.
Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills
- Current registration with the Medical Licensing Board of Arizona and current certification by the *National Commission on Certification of Nurse Practitioners.
- Current registration with the Medical Licensing Board of Arizona and current certification by the American Association of Physician Assistants
- Must be able to obtain or eligible for Arizona State License
- Must be able to obtain or eligible Arizona DEA
- Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
- Requires professional knowledge and application skills for patient diagnosis and treatment.
- Requires ability to educate and counsel patients and families on medications; diseases; treatment plans; procedures; and preventive health care.
- Requires current CPR/ACLS certification. American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac LifeSupport (ACLS). Must be able to respond to a medical emergency and perform BLS/CPR as needed.
