If you believe in working the right way for the right reason join our growing team todayWork Schedule: Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions: Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Cold Room/Freezers -22degreesF/-6degrees C, Fluctuating Temps hot/cold, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Standing for full shift, Warehouse, Will work with hazardous/toxic materialsLocation / Division Specific InformationFrederick, MD / Life Sciences Group Starting wage: $19.50/hr + 10% Shift Differential + Full Time Benefits + Merit and Annual Bonus Eligibility.How will you make an impact.You'll provide shipping, receiving, storage and order fulfillment services for finished goods, inventory, materials, supplies, parts and equipment at the assigned facility(s).What will you do.Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and accurately process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirementsSustain a high level of quality to ensure customers receive accurate product and in the time requestedReceive materials and/or finished goods dailyVerify the quality, type and amount of materials received are accurate and that the appropriate documentation is present (e.g. packing list)Work in a warehouse environment under various temperatures including room temperature (5986 degrees F), cold-room (36-46 degrees F), and/or freezer-room (minus 4 23 degrees F)Safely operate distribution equipment, as requiredSatisfactorily complete Thermo Fisher Scientific training requirements and operate within all ISO standards pertaining to site Distribution including, but not limited to, Control of Documents and Quality PolicyEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required.ExperienceNo experience required Need basic understanding of using computers and Microsoft systemsKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesGood interpersonal skills and customer service skills required. Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required. Accuracy is required in performing all functions of this position; errors in work could cause delays in schedules. Must be ready to start work timely daily and maintain strong attendance performance. Ability to receive and complete general instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new assignments.Working ConditionsPerform work of a highly repetitive nature. Will walk, stand, reach, and lift up to 50lbs on a continuous basis. Routinely push and pull up to 50lbs and regularly climb ladders. May occasionally sit, kneel, crouch and crawl. May handle "packaged" hazardous materials. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high Occasional local travel may be needed between the two facilities (2-3 miles and will be informed in advance) May be required to drive site vehicles, including Site box truck/ Van, acquire DOT Medical Certification.Compensation and BenefitsThe hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $13.82$20.74. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
