Role: A critical network modernization project is underway for a prestigious client. We are seeking a Data Center Engineer to join a cross-functional team to implement the upgrade and maintenance of our client's data center infrastructure. The candidate will ensure the reliability, efficiency, and scalability of data center services in alignment with the modernization objectives. The ideal candidate will have expertise in networking, server and storage management, data center infrastructure, virtualization and cloud technologies, monitoring and automation, disaster recovery and backup, as well as security best practices.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project teams to design and enhance data center architecture.
  • Manage and optimize server and storage systems, including hardware and software configurations.
  • Oversee the physical data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and environmental monitoring.
  • Implement virtualization and cloud technologies to support data center operations.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring and automation solutions for data center operations.
  • Plan and execute disaster recovery and backup strategies to ensure data center resilience.
  • Implement and maintain security measures to protect the data center infrastructure.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certification in networking (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+) is preferred.
  • Proven experience in data center operations and management.
  • Strong knowledge of server and storage management in an enterprise environment.
  • Expertise in data center infrastructure, including power distribution and cooling systems.
  • Proficiency in virtualization and cloud technologies, such as VMware, Hyper-V, AWS, or Azure.
  • Experience with monitoring tools and automation frameworks for data center operations.
  • Familiarity with disaster recovery and backup solutions for data centers.
  • Understanding of data center security best practices and compliance requirements.


Preferred Skills:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain networking infrastructure within the data center environment.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) and network function virtualization (NFV).
  • Familiarity with industry standards for data center operations and management.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a data center environment.
