Job Description

CNSO is in search of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to become a part of our practice You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team. Our growing practice consists of highly skilled neuro and orthopedic spine surgeons, pain management physicians, physical therapists, NPs and PAs who treat patients with neurological and musculoskeletal disorders. The primary role of the PA/NP is to evaluate and treat patients with chronic pain, both non-surgical and surgical spine and brain conditions, mostly in our office setting. Our physicians and mid-level providers create a great learning environment for those who would like to further develop as a clinician in this field.

Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with neurosurgeons, orthopedic spine surgeons, pain management doctors, and physiatrists
  • Perform hospital rounds and consults
  • 1st assist in OR, if desired
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Prescribe all necessary medications and propose treatment plans
  • Facilitate document flow related to patient care
  • Minimal call coverage

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a mid-level provider in pain management and/or surgery is preferred
  • Must be certified by the National Board of Certification of Physician’s Assistants
  • Must be licensed in New Jersey
  • ACLS and BLS certification required
  • Active DEA license
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to work independently
