Team members thrive in an environment that encourages problem-solving, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration.A Senior Staff Accountant, LBS Journal Entry Accounting, who excels in this role:Manages the preparation, oversight, and review of journal entries for a portfolio of facilities and site liaisonsWorks closely with LBS Finance, HSC Accounting, and facility finance teams on the treatment of complex accounting transactionsReviews journal entries for appropriateness and accounting validity, ensuring entries are properly supported and compliant with standardsCollaborates heavily with Site Liaison and Technical Accounting teams during the month-end closeResearches and resolves technical accounting issues, providing supporting documentation and justificationPerforms general ledger, subledger, and journal entry analysis using tools such as OTBI, SmartView, and other reporting systemsOperates in alignment with service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure facilities receive accurate and timely supportIdentifies opportunities to improve processes and promote standardizationProvides training and guidance to support team developmentMaintains regular and reliable attendancePerforms other duties as assignedWe believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care. Additional requirements include:Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Accounting or Finance5+ years of accounting experienceCPA designation preferred (active license maintained if applicable)Strong understanding of GL accounting, journal entry support standards, and internal controlsExperience with Oracle reporting tools such as OTBI and SmartView preferredAbility to manage competing priorities within month-end close timelinesStrong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skillsLifepoint Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
