Adecco Permanent Recruitment has partnered with one of our top clients to search for an Assistant Project Manager- Electrical working for the project manager on mega projects. Multiple positions open in either Richmond VA or Boydton/South Hill VA. Relocation is available fo rthis role.


The Assistant Project Manager will focus on managing various aspects of electrical projects within a data center environment. They will be responsible for supervising employees, creating strategic plans and budgets, overseeing day-to-day operations of projects or sections thereof, managing documentation like change orders and as-builts, and ensuring the successful completion of projects.


Skill Requirements

Must-Have:

  • 4-year degree – Engineering (Electrical - PREFERRED, will entertain Mechanical, Civil, or Construction Management). Degree must be from an ABET accredited institution.
  • 5-7 years of experience working on construction projects (data centers, manufacturing plants – semiconductor, etc., hospitals, transit transportation, or the like)
  • Must come from large national General Contractors/GC’s, or Electrical Construction (EPC companies), for electrical power distribution construction projects - $100M and up
  • Experience with project scheduling, project controls, procurement, commissioning/testing, and EXCELLENT communication (customer facing)
  • Proficiency with Computers including MS Office, Blue Beam, and PDF
  • Experience with CPM Scheduling

Preferred:

  • Experience with Accubid Estimating related to Electrical Installations
  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 CPM Scheduling
