Responsibilities:
-Assist Veterinarian in the safe handling of horses collecting and shipping of semen, artificial insemination, breeding and equine veterinary care.
- Assist with X-ray procedures as needed.
- Assist with power float dental procedures.
-Feeding, mucking, sorting, handling equine patients at the center.
- Communicate and record ultrasound results as reported from the Veterinrian in charge to the clients.
-Receive and communicate orders and shipping status on the phone from clients.
- Arrange shipping and labeling.
Skills:
- Horse handling experience preferred over technical experience depending on level of experience.
- Knowledge of general equine care and husbandry.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with owners and veterinary team members.
- Ability to handle equine animals with confidence, competance, care and compassion.
- Familiarity with X-ray equipment and procedures (for candidates applying for technician roles involving X-ray).
- Familiarity with laboratory diagnostic equipment and blood draws for sample procesing and testing.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
