Position Overview: As an Architectural Designer at Identity Architects, you will play a crucial role in our design projects, utilizing your analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail to deliver high-quality architectural solutions. You will work closely with our team of architects and engineers, contributing your expertise to create innovative and functional designs that meet our clients' needs and exceed their expectations.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture from an accredited program.
  • A minimum of 3 years of applicable Architectural design experience.
  • Ability to work independently on architectural design projects with moderate supervision.
  • Experience working in schematic design, ranging from site planning to interior and exterior design.
  • Familiarity with surveys (property boundaries, easements, utilities)
  • Possesses strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Experienced with the development of concepts into project- specific solutions
  • Proficient in Autodesk, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup and Lumion
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task


Key Responsibilities:

  • Working knowledge of all aspects of design and planning
  • Assist with project design and preliminary design approval process
  • Develops creative design concepts for projects and prepared presentations and design drawings
  • Documents projects using standard AIA format
  • Working knowledge of current codes and regulations for typical project types
  • Translates sketched details, sections, and notes onto working drawing sheets
  • Draws site plans, floor plans, and elevation drawings
  • Assists with organization/ preparation for presentation meetings
  • Comfortable with client contact and correspondence
  • Self-directed / semi-independent CADD input skills
  • Project reports and narrative writing, spreadsheets
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Proficient in Revit, Autodesk, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup and Rendering software
  • Analyzes existing designs and structures for methods of improvement
  • Receives direction from senior design staff and efficiently follows through with minimal supervision
  • Organizes data such as square footage, building heights and areas, and other calculations into data tables
