We're in search of a Senior Procurement Manager with exceptional skills and experience to oversee our procurement operations within aerospace manufacturing. This role requires strategic thinking to optimize cost, quality, and delivery performance across our supply chain. The ideal candidate will excel in supplier management, contract negotiation, risk mitigation, effective communication, team leadership, and managing an annual spend of $130-150 million.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Procurement Planning: Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and market trends. Identify cost-saving opportunities and process enhancements to drive efficiency.
  • Supplier Management: Foster strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality standards and contractual agreements. Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to assess performance and manage risks.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, including pricing, lead times, and payment terms. Drive cost reduction efforts through effective negotiation and collaboration.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Implement inventory management strategies and demand forecasting models to optimize supply chain efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and mitigate disruptions.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, monitoring market trends and regulatory changes. Work proactively to minimize disruptions and ensure continuity of operations.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to address supplier quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate clearly and concisely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to convey requirements, expectations, and updates. Ensure all parties are aligned and informed throughout the procurement process.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a procurement team, providing guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or strategic sourcing.
  • Aerospace & Defense Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred
  • Proven track record of success in contract negotiation and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • ITAR Compliance highly preferred
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and international trade compliance.
  • Experience managing an annual spend of $130M+.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
