Job Description: Senior Packaging Engineer (Temp to Hire)

Location: Cary, IL


Position Overview: We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Senior Packaging Engineer to lead the development and optimization of packaging systems for a diverse portfolio of medical devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of packaging regulations and best practices and will bring creativity and expertise to design and implement innovative packaging solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Packaging Development: Oversee the development and optimization of packaging systems for medical devices.
  • Design and Innovation: Utilize expertise and creativity to design and implement innovative packaging solutions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all packaging solutions comply with packaging regulations and best practices.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand packaging requirements and develop effective solutions.
  • Testing and Validation: Conduct packaging testing and validation to ensure quality and functionality.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities in packaging processes.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve packaging processes and procedures.
  • Mentorship: Mentor and guide other packaging engineers and team members.
  • Industry Trends: Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in packaging technology.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding packaging design and development.
  • Project Planning: Participate in project planning and provide input on timelines and resource allocation.
  • Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve any packaging issues that arise during production.
  • Packaging Expertise: Demonstrate a strong understanding of packaging materials, equipment, and technologies.
  • Standards Development: Contribute to the development of packaging standards and guidelines.

  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve packaging issues.
  • Solid understanding of packaging materials, equipment, and technologies.
  • Experience contributing to the development of packaging standards and guidelines.
