Hastings Senior Health & Living, a 5-star rated, 72-bed long-term care campus,is hiring Full-Time, Evening and NightLicensed Practical Nurses (LPNs). In this role, you will work at with a collaborative team at a campus that is well-known for having deficiency-free state surveys and a team that provides compassionate care for our residents. As a Registered Nurse, we value your experience, insight and ideas.

There are Full-Time EVENING and NOC positions. Hours are 2:30pm - 11:00pm or 10:30pm - 7:00am.

LPN responsibilities:

  • Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care plans for residents.
  • Recognizes and manages common geriatric syndromes common to aging adults: cardiovascular, respiratory, urinary, neurological, sensory and pain problems
  • Supervises work performed by TMAsand Nursing Aides
  • Displays a courteous attitude and respect for all residents, families, and staff
  • Administers medications and/or treatments in accordance with physician's orders and monitors for effectiveness/response
  • Manages medications, supplies, and equipment including ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of all items in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Documents care using computerized medication administration and charting software
  • Notifies Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and takes follow up action as necessary
  • Performs additional duties as required

LPN skills and requirements:

  • Must have a current MN LPN license and be in good standing
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Skills in problem definition and resolution
  • Ability to focus all efforts toward quality resident care
