Freight Forwarding Field Sales Executive - Portland, ORLocation: Based in Portland, Oregon. This role supports the metro area territory.About the RoleAs a Field Sales Executive at Maersk, you'll be part of a high performing team driving business expansion and revenue growth. We are seeking elite sales professionals who can leverage Maersk's global footprint and extensive logistics network to deliver world-class solutions, making a tangible impact on our customer's supply chains. Your efforts will be focused on retention and growth of existing clients, and working to onboard new clients monthly. A hunter mentality is a must in this role. You'll work collaboratively with local, national, and international teams to implement services and solutions for your clients and support Maersk's growth goals. Our key initiatives include the growth of our specialized LTL market share, by positioning our B2B and B2C services, from economy to white glove service. In addition, our sales team is responsible for cross selling products such as LCL, FCL, international air freight, customs brokerage, and FTL.Essential FunctionsBuild market position by locating, developing, defining and closing new business; arrange daily business development meetings with existing and prospective clientsBecome a subject matter expert on Maersk products and services offered, and remain up to date on industry related newsMeet weekly with local operations management and develop close and cooperative working relationships with operations staff to ensure customer needs and company objectives are being metDevelop a growth strategy and set quotas focused both on financial gain and profitability to meet ambitious revenue targetsFollow up with new clients and operations to ensure a seamless implementation when onboarding new clientsPerform market research to continually identify new pipeline opportunities; presenting and demonstrating the value of products and services to prospective buyersUtilizing Salesforce to build a customer database of key information; build and maintain active pipeline; measure KPIs; identify trends to improve win probability and forecasting accuracyExceed all assigned revenue goals and corporate pricing objectivesWhat You Bring4+ years of proven sales success in logistics, freight forwarding, specialized freight, or ground transportationResults-driven mindset with a track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growthHighly organized and proactive, capable of managing multiple client interactions efficientlyStrong analytical & problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop solutions for complex supply chain challengesExpertise in using Salesforce for managing pipelines and tracking performanceExpertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointBachelor's degree preferred, must have a high school degree or equivalentTravel: Daily local travel to visit clients. 1 or 2 meetings yearly with overnight travel.Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000 USDCommission: We offer an aggressive commission plan paid quarterly based on gross profit performance.
