As a Client Integration Specialist, you play a critical role in both onboarding new clients and tailoring our technical interfaces to their needs. This position demands a strong blend of technical skills and client service abilities, making you the key point of contact for advisory, broker-dealer, and prime brokerage clients from post-sales through the transition to being live on the Velox trading and clearing platforms. You will also be responsible for presenting and explaining complex technical information to clients and internal teams, as well as creating and maintaining comprehensive API and technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Onboarding: Efficiently guide new clients through the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth setup of their accounts and services. Tailor onboarding procedures to meet the specific needs of advisory, broker-dealer, and prime brokerage clients, particularly within equities and options trading environments.
- Technical Expertise: Develop and maintain deep knowledge and documentation of our client interfaces, including APIs, FIX-based messaging systems, and client portals. Create and update API documentation to ensure clients can effectively integrate with Velox platforms.
- Presentation of Technical Information: Clearly present and explain complex technical information, including system architecture, API functionalities, and trading workflows, to both technical and non-technical client stakeholders. Serve as a trusted advisor in technical discussions, ensuring clients understand the intricacies of our systems.
- System Testing and Enhancements: Build and manage comprehensive test suites for UI, API, and messaging protocols. Oversee the development, testing, and deployment of client-specific enhancements, ensuring alignment with industry standards in securities trading, post-trade settlement, and prime brokerage services.
- Client Advocacy: Serve as the primary advocate for new clients, ensuring their requirements are understood and met promptly. Work closely with product and engineering teams to address client-specific needs, especially those related to securities broker-dealers, correspondent clearing, and investment advisory services.
- API and Technical Documentation: Create, maintain, and update technical documentation for APIs, integration guides, and user manuals to support client onboarding and ongoing use of Velox trading and clearing platforms. Ensure documentation is accurate, comprehensive, and accessible to clients.
- Risk Identification and Escalation: Proactively identify potential onboarding risks, particularly those related to regulatory compliance and trading system integration, and escalate issues to relevant teams, ensuring swift resolution and minimal disruption.
- Status Reporting: Regularly communicate the status of client onboarding to internal stakeholders, indicating the percent completion in the onboarding pipeline and anticipated timelines for completion. Provide detailed reports on technical issues, resolutions, and client feedback.
- Process Documentation: Utilize Business Process Modeling (BPM) to diagram and continually improve the client onboarding process, ensuring it is optimized for efficiency and client satisfaction.
- Collaboration and Communication: Maintain ongoing communication with clients during the onboarding phase and coordinate with internal teams, including product management, engineering, and compliance, to facilitate necessary system enhancements and ensure clients' technical requirements are met.
- Agile Methodologies: Work within Agile/Scrum teams to continuously improve the client onboarding process, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Drive Agile best practices in the context of client onboarding and integration.
- Project Management Tools: Utilize Jira for tracking progress, managing tasks, and reporting on onboarding milestones. Ensure all client onboarding activities are documented and tracked within the project management system for transparency and accountability.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proficient in SQL, Python, and JavaScript: Strong technical skills are required to manage and troubleshoot integrations and enhancements.
- Familiarity with Messaging Protocols: Experience with protocols such as FIX and JSON, which are crucial for trading system integration.
- API and Technical Documentation: Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining API documentation and technical guides, ensuring that clients can easily understand and use our systems.
- Experience in Securities and Trading Systems: Familiarity with equities and options trading, prime brokerage, investment advisory, securities broker-dealers, and correspondent clearing is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex technical systems in a clear, concise manner, and tailor explanations to suit both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Client-Facing Experience: Proven ability to manage demanding clients and deliver high levels of service in client-facing roles, especially in the fintech, securities, or financial services industry.
- Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Capable of identifying issues and developing solutions proactively.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum Methodologies: Strong preference for candidates with experience working within Agile/Scrum teams, using tools like Jira to manage onboarding projects.
- Independent Contributor: Ability to work independently and take ownership of the client onboarding process from start to finish.
- Foreign Language Proficiency: Spanish and Mandarin Chinese proficiency is a plus.
