This role involves diagnosing and repairing issues related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, and appliances. The Senior Maintenance Technician ensures the safety and cleanliness of the property, maintains amenities, and responds to maintenance requests promptly and professionally. This position also involves supervising outside contractors, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations.What You'll DoBelow is a snapshot of what this role is all about. While there is more to it, this is the core focus.Maintenance and RepairsPerform daily maintenance tasks and diagnose/repair issues in various areas.Respond to maintenance requests promptly and professionally.Property and Amenity MaintenanceMaintain pool, hot tub, and other amenities.Ensure safety and cleanliness of buildings and grounds.Maintain exterior property for curb appeal.Preventative Maintenance and InspectionsSchedule and document preventative maintenance and apartment turns.Conduct regular inspections of common areas and equipment.Supervision and CoordinationSupervise duties and outside contractors in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.Coordinate move-ins and move-outs.Safety and ComplianceAssist with safety meetings and compliance with policies and regulations.Report potential liabilities and ensure property compliance.Inventory and Supplies ManagementMaintain inventory and assist in purchasing materials and supplies.Resident and Community EngagementParticipate in resident functions and assist with posting notices.Why You'll Love FairfieldWe're all about creating communities that people are proud to call home. Associates hired without a CPO license will be required to obtain within 90 days of hire.Valid driver's license may be required.Experience2+ years of experience in property maintenance or a related field.Experience in supervising contractors preferred but not required.Skills and CompetenciesStrong diagnostic and repair skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and appliancesAbility to read, write, understand, and communicate in EnglishAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong organizational and time management skillsKnowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirementsGeneral computer skills including operating a mobile deviceSuperior customer service skills including the ability to manage difficult customers and/or situationsAbility to be on-call for after-hours emergenciesAbility to work a flexible schedule to include weekends, evenings and holidaysJoin Our TeamReady to make an impact and take your career to the next level? Apply today#LI-MARSHALLEstimated Rate of Pay:$26.74 - $29.02This position is non-exempt; the range above reflects hourly rates.The pay range displayed for this position is determined by skills and experience required, location and job complexity*. Potential job offers may vary based on the skills, education, and experience an individual candidate holds. This range reflects base rate only, and does not include allowances, perks, commissions or bonuses applicable to this position (if any). Fairfield complies with all wage and hour laws, including minimum wage and salary exempt requirements.
