Capstone IT is assisting our client, a prominent leader in the health data utility industry, in hiring a Full Stack Developer for a Contract-to-Hire role based in Omaha, NE. This hybrid position requires onsite presence for the first week, followed by a transition to a hybrid schedule. In this role, you will design and implement cloud-based software solutions that support our client’s healthcare data-sharing initiatives. You will work on both front-end and back-end development, developing and scaling cloud-based systems while ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with UX/UI designers, leadership, and the engineering team to build new features, contributing to DevOps practices, and implementing CI/CD pipeline processes. You will also participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design to deployment, ensuring that the applications meet business needs and technical standards.
Top 4 Skills:
- Experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and GO.
- Experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, Fargate, API Gateway, etc.).
- Cloud computing, microservices architecture, and DevOps expertise (CI/CD pipelines).
- Ability to work with React, Spring, SQL, REST, and FastAPI.
Responsibilities:
- Build scalable, cloud-based solutions that enhance user experience and support business growth.
- Develop new features and infrastructure based on evolving project and business requirements.
- Ensure application performance, uptime, scalability, and maintain high standards for code quality.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces.
- Design and implement software across the full stack, from front-end to back-end.
- Recommend and implement long-term application solutions that align with business goals.
- Promote and integrate DevOps practices, enhancing CI/CD pipeline processes.
- Plan and execute tests, automate processes, and ensure software best practices are followed.
- Develop contingency plans to maintain system reliability and reduce potential risks.
- Follow Agile methodologies to continuously improve development practices and team workflows.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in application development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, and GO or equivalent technologies.
- Experience with AWS services like Fargate, Lambda, API Gateway, EKS, S3, SQS, and SNS or equivalent technologies.
- Knowledge of front-end and back-end technologies such as React, Spring, SQL, REST, and FastAPI.
- Experience with cloud computing, microservices architecture, and cloud services. (preferred)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines. (required)
- Familiarity with Git for version control. (preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Experience in responsive web application design using frameworks like Bootstrap or Material Design.
- Experience designing and using REST/GraphQL Web Services.
- Ability to translate design mockups and prototypes into functional application designs.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Unix shell scripting.
- Experience with Agile frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong decision-making skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
