Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Psychiatrist. As a psychiatrist at Viking Psychiatry, you will provide psychiatric care to patients, focusing on psychiatry for those aged 13 and above. Your day-to-day tasks will include conducting evaluations, diagnosing mental health conditions, prescribing medication, and providing therapy. This role is based in Fort Wayne, IN, with flexibility for some remote work.


Qualifications

  • Medical degree and board certification in Psychiatry
  • Experience in adolescent/adult psychiatry
  • Strong knowledge of psychiatric medicine and treatment approaches
  • Understanding of mental health conditions and their impacts
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be a team player who meshes well with all levels of staff.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Empathy and compassion for patients
  • Experience in integrative approaches to mental health is a plus
  • Experience with Spravato, Ketamine, and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation is a plus, but you must be willing to be trained if not.
  • Provide Collaboration for NP and PA providers.

Health, Dental, and Vision are paid for 100% for employees. 200 hours PTO to start, $3500 CEU. All licensing, DEA, and malpractice paid for.
