We are looking for a dedicated Infrastructure Financial Strategy Consultant like you to be a part of our team.Job Summary and QualificationsPosition Summary: The Infrastructure Financial Strategy Consultant will serve as a trusted strategic advisor and financial modeler for HCA Healthcare's Infrastructure portfolio - including data centers, networks, hybrid cloud environments, and core technology platforms. Reporting to the AVP of IT Financial Strategy, this senior-level contributor will design and manage a forward-looking dynamic financial model that guides data-informed technology investment decisions. This role blends financial strategy with deep infrastructure understanding, integrating Technology Business Management (TBM) principles, capital planning, and technical lifecycle economics to identify optimal decision points, such as cloud migration strategy, data center transition timing, hardware refresh strategies, or renegotiation of major infrastructure contracts. The Consultant will collaborate closely with IT and Finance leadership including the CTO, VP of Infrastructure, and CFO to ensure infrastructure investments align with enterprise financial and operational objectives. This is a highly visible, high-impact position that requires exceptional financial acumen, strong command of enterprise infrastructure technologies, and consulting-level analytical rigor.Major Responsibilities:Strategic Modeling and AnalysisDevelop and maintain a multi-year financial and technical scenario-based model for on-premises infrastructure, including total cost of ownership, capital and operational expenditures, depreciation, and refresh cycles.Model and recommend strategic scenarios and their financial implications, such as cloud migration timing, contract renewals, or infrastructure transitions.Provide recommendations and sensitivity analyses to inform leadership decisions on infrastructure modernization.Technology Business Management (TBM) and Cost TransparencyEvaluate infrastructure cost structures, enabling transparency across consumption, performance, and value.Collaborate with IT Finance and TBM teams to integrate model outputs into Cost Transparency reporting.Champion modernization of financial planning tools and data models to ensure agility and accuracy in scenario forecasting.Support the development of a financial governance framework for evaluating and prioritizing future infrastructure investments.Executive Consultation and Financial StrategyServe as a strategic advisor to IT Leadership, using clear and concise storytelling to navigate complex discussions.Translate financial data and technical recommendations into actionable insights for non-financial or non-technical audiences.Influence infrastructure investment strategy and policy by presenting data-backed recommendations.Partner closely with the CTO and VP of Infrastructure to model strategic investment trade-offs and quantify the financial implications of architectural decisions.Partner with Finance and Strategic Sourcing to time infrastructure contract negotiations and optimize financial outcomes.Cross-Functional CollaborationCollaborate with IT Infrastructure, Service Management, Architecture, CloudOps, and Finance teams to ensure alignment between financial and operational priorities.Drive cross-functional working sessions to validate assumptions and build consensus around model outputs.Act as a connector between finance and technology disciplines, ensuring a shared understanding of cost, value, and risk across the enterprise.Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, or related field requiredMaster's degree Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, or related field preferred10+ years of progressive experience in IT Financial Management, infrastructure finance, or technology consulting within large, complex organizations requiredPrior experience at a top-tier consulting firm (e.g., Deloitte, McKinsey, Accenture, PWC) highly preferredPrior experience at or as an advisor to Fortune 50 organization preferredBackground in Technology Business Management (TBM), IT Cost Modeling, or Capital Planning for Infrastructure Portfolios preferredLicenses, Certifications, & Training:Certified TBM Executive (CTBME) preferredCertified Public Accountant (CPA) preferredSix Sigma Certification (Black Belt or higher) preferredKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors Required:Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, Power BI, and financial analysis softwareStrong technical literacy across data center operations, hybrid cloud environments, networking, and storage technologiesExceptional ability to synthesize complex financial and technical information into clear executive recommendationsProven ability to influence and advise senior executives with data-driven authorityStrong storytelling, visualization, and presentation skills for C-level audiencesDemonstrated experience in cost optimization, capital lifecycle modeling, and cloud economicsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and maintain composure in high-stakes decision forumsAbility and willingness to respond to a changing/dynamic work environmentFundamental knowledge of Contractual terminologyFundamental knowledge of Procurement and Billing processesFundamental understanding of IT Infrastructure and the Healthcare IndustryService and Quality Excellence: Ability to demonstrate an uncompromising commitment to delivering exceptional care to create an unmatched value proposition for our patientsHonor our Mission and Values: Ability to build trust and act with authenticity to cultivate a culture of integrity, inclusion, and mutual respectEffective Decision Making: Ability to make timely, informed decisions that are in the best interest of our patients, employees, providers, community, and HCAAttain and Leverage Strategic Relationships: Ability to develop and strengthen collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to advance the care of our patients and the growth of HCALead and Develop Others: Ability to lead others to accomplish organizational goals and objectives;
