Channel Marketing Sr. ManagerThis position is remote and can be based anywhere within the United States. Ideal candidates will be based near either the Dublin, OH, or Mansfield, MA, office. Candidates must be able to work within EST or CST business hours.Integrated Channel Marketing unifies our medical products & distribution solutions for our customers in the U.S. acute care channel. Our primary goal is to win and retain distribution while accelerating Cardinal Health Brand penetration. We deliver cohesive strategies, packaged solutions, and account-based marketing programs that strengthen our position in acute care and drive sustainable growth.In particular, the Channel Product & Solutions Strategy group owns the strategic value proposition for the channel. Our mission is to design and package integrated solutions that make it easy for Sales team to sell and customers to buy. We define channel strategy, create offer architecture, and deliver account-based marketing that drive adoption and measurable ROI.This is an essential channel marketing role that owns the commercial & operations strategy and alignment, including the go-to-market strategy for distribution network and technology services for U.S. medical products and distribution in the acute U.S. channel. The Sr. Marketing Manager is responsible for working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure operational excellence and long-term sustainable growth. This role is responsible for business management activities including building business cases for network strategy, executing solution strategy through various tactics, detailed financial comprehension and decision making, and management of a team. In addition, marketing strategy activities including product and portfolio messaging, new product launches, engagement campaigns, new US market assessments, competitive positioning and voice of customer and customer journey analysis in the pursuit of an exceptional customer experience.ResponsibilitiesOwn the strategic go-to-market for distribution and technology services and the strategic operations alignment and network strategy within the acute U.S. channel.Develop channel specific marketing objectives, strategies, and tactics. In collaboration with Marketing Communications, build and execute the product marketing and promotional plans for the channel as part of an integrated promotional plan.Execute projects that win and retain distribution business and drive penetration of Cardinal branded products within the acute U.S. channel.Serve as a channel expert for assigned product / service lines, working with clinical and sales staff to communicate value to customers, detail features and benefits of product offering.Working with Enterprise Contracting, Sales, and Product Management, develop strategies and tactics to pursue and capture GPO/RPC contracts and to maximize the realized benefit from won contracts within the acute channel.Proactively gain insights into competitors, their products, pricing, unmet customer needs, and changing clinical practices through observation of operations and interactions with customers and internal stakeholders.Provide insight to product marketing teams that help drive product line rationalization and product retirement within the acute U.S. channel.Develop the in-channel launch, marketing, and promotions strategy for new product launches and drive growth initiatives for products post-launch.Remain current on trends in the market that impact sales, distribution and the profitability of U.S. medical products & distribution services with special emphasis on Cardinal branded products.Support development and facilitate validation of stakeholder analysis, competitive analysis, positioning/value proposition, message platform for products in the acute U.S. channel.Strong ability to influence and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including product management, sales, customer service, strategic pricing, product marketing, finance, quality, regulatory, legal, inventory, as well as others.QualificationsBachelor's degree preferred6+ years experience in related field preferredExperience working independently, using good judgment and leadership abilities to manage short and long-term priorities and projectsDemonstrates strong financial acumen and logical decision making in the general business environment. Understands and can demonstrate sound thought processes as it relates to assessing financial implicationsDemonstrates basic knowledge of marketing disciplines and concepts necessary for building a business & marketing plan, this includes identifying the appropriate channel marketing strategies.
