You will become part of a Northrop Grumman team of professionals who are actively developing Avionics Testing Solutions and Specialized Test Equipment for the B-2 Stealth Bomber and LGM-35A Sentinel Missile platforms.Responsibilities:Oversight and ownership of software engineering design and implementation for a wide array of projects including:Solution designModelling and presentationsWork PlanningCodingDebuggingHardware Control and InterfaceData Acquisition and ManagementMultilevel Test and VerificationDevelopment and coordination for internal and customer design reviews for the software and system level designs of our productsDevelopment of supporting documentation (operating / user manuals, etc.) for our productsAssist in troubleshooting of lab equipment as failures occurCoordination with management to ensure product technical data packages meet project schedule commitmentsCoordinate between several internal and external stakeholder groups (Software Development, System Test, Cyber Operations, Procurement, etc.) to achieve contractual commitmentsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent) with 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master's degree with 3 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD with 0 years of related engineering experienceExperience with SAFe Agile software development using Python, C++, and/or C# in a Windows or Red Hat Enterprise Linux environmentKnowledge of object-oriented design and software lifecyclesExperience with version control software, configuration management processes, and modern CI/CD practicesMust be a U.S. Citizen, DoD Secret clearance or higher is RequiredExperience in Aerospace or Defense industry (development or test)Preferred Qualifications:Active Program clearanceMaster's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplineExperience with HW/SW IntegrationExperience in software development to include any of the following: kernel mode, embedded, command and control, web applications, network applicationsDevelopment of lower-level networking protocols such as TCP/IP and UDP and/or MIL-STD-1553Experience with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)Experience with NI LabVIEW developmentExperience with supporting operational systemsExperience with supporting distributed systemsExperience with working in Virtualized Environments (VMs, AWS Cloud Instances)Experience with QT or GL StudiosSalary Range: $90,300.00 - $135,500.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
