Controller

ControllerThe Controller is accountable for leading and directing all S4S accounting operations including periodic financial reporting. Establishes and maintains the organization's overall accounting systems, procedures, and policies. Directs all auditing on both domestic and international fronts as well as required filings and reports.Primary Responsibilities:Overseeing accounting operations in U.S. and across all international locations including Canada, Europe and AsiaCompleting the monthly closing within the first 10 days of each month ensuring that every aspect of S4S finances are analyzed, documented and properly interpretedReviewing monthly inventory entries in NetSuite including Gifts in Kind valuationsProducing monthly financial reporting including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, functional expense reports and accounts receivable reports.Reviewing daily cash sheet and bank accounts and conducting active bank reconciliation in NetSuiteEnsuring compliance with U.S tax regulations as well as tax regulations in international locationsManaging annual audits including international auditingSupervising the Accounting Manager responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable and the Financial AnalystWorking with the CFO, update and maintain strong financial policies and internal controls across all operations safeguarding assets and preventing fraud while ensuring consistency in financial processesWorking closely with HR, maintain accuracy in payroll processing both in the U.S. and international locations ensuring compliance with payroll tax regulations.Working with the CFO to ensure annual budgeting processes occur timelyParticipating in any special projects requested by the Chief Financial OfficerQualifications, Skills and Capabilities:Bachelor's degree in accounting10+ years of experience in Accounting Management and Audit ManagementStrong familiarity with the NetSuite ERP accounting platform requiredExperience with international accounting/auditing a plusAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and OutlookExemplary planning and time management skills with ability to manage multiple projectsSome travel to headquarters and warehouse locations may be required.Valid driver's licensePhysical Demands:Lifting: The ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds if necessary.Standing: Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.Sitting: Sit for long periods while working at a desk or computer.Walking: Walk or move around the work area as needed.Bending and Stooping: Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, or crouch to access equipment or perform tasks.Reaching: Reach overhead, horizontally, and down to access materials or equipment.Vision: Must have clear vision, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.Hearing: Hear and communicate effectively in person and over the phone.Manual Dexterity: Use hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls.Repetitive Motion: Perform repetitive tasks, such as data entry, for extended periods of time.Work Environment: Be able to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings, and be exposed to varying weather conditions if applicable.S4S is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse staff and strongly encourages applications from candidates of color and other diverse backgrounds.
