The Controls & Instrumentation Engineer is responsible for system maintenance, equipment calibration, repair of hardware, software, and instruments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Controls software upgrades
- Combustion tuning
- Act as subject matter expert to plant senior leadership
- Maintain documented history of all changes or modifications for covered equipment
- Ensure that modifications and changes are implemented as efficiently and quickly as possible
- Ensure that the M&D services are current and comprise all the known and anticipated degradation and failure modes of the covered equipment with respect to your discipline.
- Assist in training engineers and technicians. Prepare and implement an on the job training training program to cover operations, performance, maintenance, and condition monitoring.
- Mentor key staff in efficient troubleshooting and analysis of system issues
- Work collaboratively with the plant management team to develop and implement maintenance schedules
- Adhere to company outage planning processes and deliverables.
- Conduct detailed maintenance planning, pre-outage, outage, and post-outage planning activities with the company.
- Prepare detailed work scope for each agreed outage.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or another related field
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience working with Mark VIe Control Systems
- 5+ years experience working with general design and maintenance of gas turbines. GE gas turbine experience preferred.
- 5 years of experience with instrument calibration associated with recommissioning of gas turbines.
- 3 years of experience troubleshooting problems and presenting technical overview to senior leadership
